We Weave Stories into Every Handmade Rug

Contemporary Designs, Traditional Craftsmanship

At Hasida Rugs Collection, we think rugs as more than decor — they are living art that define spaces. Our collection spans from cutting-edge and modern patterns to classic and tribal treasures crafted to bring style, coziness and luxury to homes, hotels and businesses across the globe.

Our journey starts in Bhadohi–Mirzapur, the famous "Carpet City of India"where making rugs has been a cherished custom for ages. The founder of Hasida Rugs Collection deep has roots in this region, with family members who've long been involved in creating rugs. He has over ten years of work experience, but his understanding and ideas come from a surrounded by looms, colors, and designs — keeping alive a tradition that has defined his community for hundreds of years.

All our rugs come from our Bhadohi workshop, where expert craftspeople mix old-school methods with new ideas. We make everything ourselves and ensure top-notch quality, eco-friendliness and fair work practices. This approach allows us to deliver rugs that bring tradition and timeless design to homes, hotels, and businesses worldwide. When you get a Hasida rug, you're not just buying something to cover your floor — you're adding a story of tradition, craftsmanship and timeless design to your space.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a rug is handmade or machine-made?

IIt is easy. Best way is to checking the back and overall finish of the rug. Handmade rugs usually show natural knot variations and woven fringes that feel part of the structure. Machine-made rugs come from bulk production, with uniform backing, consistent patterns and fringes often stitched or glued on.

How can you tell if a rug is good quality?

Good-quality rugs feel balanced in weight, have clear pattern definition and fine finishing along the edges. In handmade rugs, quality is reflected in clean knot work, even texture and how naturally the fibers sit. Overall appearance, not shine or thickness alone, is the key indicator.

How long do handmade rugs last?

Handmade rugs are valued for their lasting appeal rather than a fixed lifespan. Because they are crafted with traditional techniques and natural materials, they age gracefully and often maintain their character over time. With proper care, they remain visually rich and functional for everyday living spaces.

How much does it cost to clean a handmade wool rug?

Cleaning costs vary based on rug size, construction and level of care required. Handmade wool rugs are best cleaned by professionals who specialize in natural fibers. Pricing depends on handling method rather than standard carpet rates, since handmade rugs require gentle, fiber- safe cleaning processes.

Can I use a vacuum on my handmade rug?

Yes, vacuuming is generally safe and advisable when done gently. Use a low-suction setting and avoid aggressive brush rolls, especially near fringes. Regular light vacuuming helps maintain surface cleanliness without disturbing the handmade structure or natural texture of the rug.

Are handmade rugs worth it?

Handmade rugs are often chosen for their artistic value, cultural connection and visual depth. Unlike mass-produced options, each handmade rug offers individuality and craftsmanship that elevates a space. For buyers who value design authenticity and refined interiors, handmade rugs are considered a meaningful investment.

What quality checks do you perform before shipping rugs?

Before shipping, handmade rugs typically go through multiple checks including size accuracy, color consistency, surface finish and alignment of edges. Each rug is reviewed to ensure it meets design specifications and presentation standards before packing, especially for international buyers in the USA and UK.

What are natural dyes and why do they matter in handmade rugs?

Natural dyes are derived from plants, minerals and other organic sources. In handmade rugs, they matter because they create softer, more layered color tones that age beautifully. Natural dyes enhance the artistic feel of a rug and align with old traditional weaving practices.

Can you create custom handmade rugs based on my design or room photos?

Yes, custom handmade rugs can be developed using design references, sketches or room photos. Buyers can customize size, colors, patterns and textures to suit their specific choice and spaces. Our designers in Bhadohi regularly translate visual concepts into made-to-order rugs for real interiors.
